VREB Commercial Division

The Commercial Division of the Victoria Real Estate Board was started in 1974 to promote commercial activity within the Greater Victoria area. It comprises a group of REALTORS® who are members of the Board and who have interest in the exchange of ideas, sharing of information and learning about the different aspects involved in the listing and selling of industrial, commercial and investment real estate.

Division members support the commercial real estate and development community through active participation in CREA’s Canadian Commercial Network - as well as in helping to produce products and systems that assist their clients in marketing their properties and businesses to interested buyers or tenants. This includes development of commercial-specific websites such as and the member-to-member Commercial Broadcast Email Service that allows members to market their properties directly to other members across the province of BC.

The mission of the Victoria Real Estate Board Commercial Division is to support the specialized needs of its members. The purpose of the Commercial Division is: 

  • to organize meetings of the Division to discuss and exchange ideas of mutual benefit as they apply to commercial real estate
  • to promote and recommend educational opportunities pertaining to commercial real estate for the benefit of members of the Division and other members of the VREB
  • to promote the professionalism of REALTORS® specializing in commercial real estate
  • to develop programs to enhance the public perception of the Division and of REALTORS® specializing in commercial real estate

In order to be members of the Division, representatives are required to have a proven amount of education and experience in the areas of sales/leasing, appraisal, property management, business brokerage, commercial construction, taxation/financing as well as planning and zoning.
