Bev Berger is a local REALTOR®, a Director of the Victoria Real Estate Board, and an advocate for Sooke living, who has supported many buyers and sellers with their properties in the District of Sooke.

Says Berger, “Sooke continues to attract people looking for an authentic west coast lifestyle, beautiful scenery, a strong sense of community, and more space and value than many surrounding areas. What I love most about Sooke is that every area has its own personality, from oceanfront and rural properties to family neighbourhoods and quiet retirement living.”

Berger’s advice to folks considering a move or selling in Sooke? “For both buyers and sellers, it’s important to understand not just the market, but the community itself. Sooke is growing and evolving quickly, but it has still managed to hold onto the small town feel that makes people want to call it home.”

Sooke is a small market, but still offers a variety of options at a broad range of price points. Right now, there are approximately 250 homes for sale in Sooke. These include a selection of modular homes that begin around $200,000. Condos range from $375,000 to just over one million dollars. Prefer a townhome? These are on offer as well and range from the late $400,000’s to just over one million dollars. Single family homes represent the majority of current inventory, with options starting from $500,000 and $600,000.
