The MLS® Marks do not identify or describe a computer database of real estate listings.
About the Victoria Real Estate Board
The Victoria Real Estate Board is an association of Victoria, BC area REALTORS®.
The Victoria Real Estate Board was founded in 1921 and since then has been a key player in the development of standards and innovative programs aimed at enhancing the professionalism and community standing of Realtors. Formation of the Board grew out of the realization in the early part of the last century that there was a need to establish basic standards for those working in the real estate industry.
The Victoria Real Estate Board is one of 8 real estate boards throughout BC. The area served by the Victoria Board includes Greater Victoria from Sooke to Sidney, up-Island as far as Cherry Point Road in Cobble Hill, and the Gulf Islands. Membership is voluntary. In addition to operating the Multiple Listing Service® within its jurisdictional area, the Board also provides other membership services, education and community representation.
The Board operates under its own Bylaws and Regulations and is dedicated to the concept of promoting interest in the purchase and sale of real estate in BC and to support the concept of private ownership in real estate.
