Community Fight Against Crystal Meth
The Issue
Crystal Meth abuse continues to pose a serious challenge to the health of local neighbourhoods and to the quality of life of the community.
VREB Position
Since 2006, the Board has urged other professions and groups to join with Victoria area REALTORS® to help the Crystal Meth Society of BC with both financial and in-kind resources to help the Society address the problem of Crystal Meth addiction and prevent the situation from getting any worse.

Update
During 2005-2006 Victoria area REALTORS® participated with other groups in helping generate support for the Crystal Meth Society of BC. This led to the Salvation Army opening the first Vancouver Island six-bed treatment facility for Crystal Meth addicts in March, 2007.
In 2010 Victoria area REALTORS® joined the City of Langford in funding the Crystal Meth Society to help educate young people on the Westshore about the harmful effects of Crystal Meth on users.
